Tongerlo Blond Abbey Ale | 6.0% Brussels, Belgium
A genuine, authentic, bottle conditioned Belgium Abbey beer.
For centuries the Norbertine canons had dedicated themselves to brewing beer at the Abbey of Tongerlo. In 1990 they formed a long-term relationship with Brouwerij Haacht who now brew Tongerlo beers under the approving eye of the monastic community. Since the 16th century the abbey’s coat of arms has appeared on the label alongside ‘Veritas Vincit’ - the truth triumphs.
The meticulous secondary fermentation of the ‘Bottle-conditioning’ reveals true brewing craftsmanship and enhances the shelf life to at least 18 months.
At the 2014 World Beer Awards, Tongerlo Blond was named the World’s Best Beer across all beer categories.
