Valle Central
Chile - Valle Central
Valle Central is Chile’s most productive and well-known wine region producing 60% of the nations wine. It is situated directly across the Andes from Argentina’s most important region – Mendoza.
Close to the national capital Santiago, geographically it is the plain between the Andes and the Coastal Range of mountains. Within the Valle Central, there are four wine growing sub-regions which, north to south, are the Maipo, Rapel, Curicó and Maule Valleys.
