Ch La Hitte
This AOC Buzet red wine from Château La Hitte can be regarded as the most romantic red wine of all the wines of the Vignerons de Buzet cooperative.
The Déprez family, harvesting winegrowers, operates this vineyard where the essential Bordeaux grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon flourish on clay-limestone soil, and where life and biodiversity have been preserved.
The grapes are picked very ripe. The vinification is traditional with a maceration of ten days at a controlled temperature of 23-24°C to enhance the aromas and extract the softest tannins.
A very deep purple colour; the nose is both nuanced and powerful with lots of fruitiness underscored by a touch of vanilla and toast. The palate has a beautiful fullness of tannins which, though young, are already beautifully smooth and, with the “sweetness”, characterize this wine.
